Job description
You will provide hands-on technical support to internal users while helping maintain the stability, performance, and security of the company's IT systems and network infrastructure. The Role As IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality IT support across the organisation while assisting with ongoing infrastructure improvements and technical projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing day-to-day IT support for desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices
- Supporting LAN, WAN and wireless network infrastructure
- Troubleshooting hardware, software and connectivity issues
- Managing and resolving IT incidents and service requests
- Working with Active Directory, Group Policy and Microsoft 365 administration
- Supporting network troubleshooting and security improvements
- Coordinating with external vendors when required
- Maintaining documentation and knowledge base articles
- Assisting with IT infrastructure projects and improvements
- Providing guidance and basic training to end users
Requirements
- 3-5+ years' experience in an IT Support / Service Desk role
- Strong experience supporting Windows environments
- Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft 365
- Knowledge of network troubleshooting and infrastructure support
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent user support skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
Desirable:
- Experience with Service Desk platforms (e.g. ServiceNow)
- Exposure to firewalls, networking protocols or cybersecurity practices
- Relevant IT certifications or third-level qualification
