Job description
As a Network Automation Engineer, you will work in one of the NW&DC Engineering teams that design, build and automate our network platforms. You are an engineer who combines platform engineering thinking with deep network automation expertise. You help build a future where developers can fully consume frictionless, selfservice network services - from provisioning to security controls - through automation, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and API- driven- platform services. You work in an Agile environment with a strong focus on continuous improvement, reliability, security, standardization and end-to-end- efficiency.
You will:
- Design, build and manage automated network & network security solutions.
- Develop self-service network platforms for developers.
- Automate configuration, lifecycle management and deployment of network components (using IaC, Python, Ansible, GitOps, CI/CD).
- Implement end-to-end integrations between on-prem, cloud and platform services to ensure network functionality is reliable and consistent everywhere.
- Standardize repeatable network patterns and translate them into code/templatized solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex network problems with an automation-first mindset: root cause elimination > workaround.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Architects, Network Security Specialists and DevOps teams to accelerate automation roadmaps.
- Actively contribute to automated testing, validation and security controls within pipelines.

You have deep understanding of automation standards and the drive to eliminate, automate or standardize anything that is manual. You have a strong drive to eliminate manual work - automation is not merely a goal for you, but a belief. And you're known for your collaborative, proactive attitude with ownership of quality and results. Furthermore you recognize yourself in the following hard skills:

Experience with network automation (Python, Ansible, API integrations).

Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps is a plus).

Knowledge of IaC principles, Git, YAML, templating (Jinja2) and automation frameworks.

Basic knowledge of networking at CCNA level or higher (routing, switching, security, segmentation).

Cisco CCNA or higher, or equivalent based on formal education.

Certifications such as: CCNP/CCIE Automation and Azure DevOps AZ-400

Experience with dashboarding/monitoring integration (Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic).

Experience standardizing and automating repeatable network deployments.
