Job description

As a Network Engineer, you are part of NW&DC Engineering teams that build and operate ABN AMRO's mission critical network platforms. As mentioned above, you bring strong technical expertise in modern networking technologies and help drive the adoption of centralized orchestration, standardized configurations and reliable network services across hybrid environments. You will contribute to designing a futureproof network landscape where automation, policydriven governance and consistent enforcement ensure a secure, scalable and resilient infrastructure. You work in an Agile environment with a strong focus on continuous improvement, reliability, secure by design principles and operational excellence. You solve complex network issues with a rootcausefirst approach and collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, CISO, platform teams and DevOps teams to align network capabilities with business and security requirements. You have experience in support testing, validation and compliance automation within CI/CD pipelines. You want to continue to grow toward a T-shaped engineer with a focus on networking, cloud integration and standardized platform engineering.

You're responsible for the following tasks:

  • Design, build and maintain enterprise network solutions across datacenter, campus and cloud environments.
  • Implement and manage any or multiple of the following technologies: Cisco ACI fabrics, Catalyst Center-driven campus networks and Infoblox/DDI services.
  • Operate and optimize core routing and switching platforms, ensuring high availability, simplification and standardization.
  • Integrate network services with cloud, hybrid and platform engineering environments.
  • Contribute to network automation and InfrastructureasCode initiatives to improve repeatability and reduce operational overhead., * An attractive gross monthly salary based on a 36-hour work week, including holiday allowance and a flexible benefit budget.

Requirements

  • A customer centric focus, You are a strong network engineer with deep knowledge of enterprise networking technologies and a drive for standardization, orchestration and operational excellence. On top you have a proactive, analytical and collaborative mindset with a strong sense of ownership. And you recognize yourself in the following:

  • Handson experience with one or more of the following technologies: Cisco ACI, Catalyst Center, Infoblox/DDI or Zscaler.

  • Experience operating and securing largescale hybrid network environments, preferably through central network orchestration solutions

  • Solid skills in routing & switching at CCNA/CCNP level or higher.

  • Knowledge of centralized policy enforcement, network governance and configuration management.

  • Understanding of automation principles and scripting (Python, Ansible, Git, YAML).

  • Advanced vendor certifications (CCNP / CCIE, Cisco ACI certifications, Infoblox/BlueCat certifications).

  • Experience with network monitoring, telemetry and observability (e.g ThousandEyes, OptOss).

  • Experience with Infrastructure/NetworkasCode and automated network deployments.
