Job description
As a Data Engineer, you are at the heart of Sonceboz's data strategy. Your mission is to build and operate the data platform on Microsoft Fabric, from data collection to providing reliable, high-performance, AI-ready datasets usable by business, BI, and Data Science teams.
Your responsibilities
Architecture & collection

Design and operate the Lakehouse / Warehouse architecture in Microsoft Fabric

Set up and maintain collection pipelines

Industrialize full and incremental loads and ensure the reliability of data flows.
Modeling & Analytics
-
Build efficient semantic models
-
Define measures, hierarchies, and business-oriented perspectives.

Optimize performance and costs.
Quality, governance & security
-
Ensure data quality through automated controls and tests.

Implement metadata, data lineage, and documentation.

Apply data governance and security.
Data & AI
-
Prepare AI-ready datasets
-
Collaborate with Data Science and Analytics teams.

Contribute to AI and Copilot use cases.
Requirements
-
5 years in data engineering or modern BI, with Microsoft Fabric experience.

Proficiency in SQL, PySpark, and Python for data engineering.

Experience with Power BI for semantic models and performance optimization., * Microsoft Fabric: OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Pipelines, PySpark Notebooks, Dataflows Gen2, Direct Lake.

Languages: SQL, PySpark, Python (pandas).

Power BI: semantic models, DAX, performance optimization.

Data Engineering: medallion architecture, Delta Lake, partitioning, incremental loads, CDC, testing.

Governance & security

CI/CD: Git, deployment automation.
Your background
-
Approximately 5 years of experience in data engineering or modern BI.

Significant experience with Microsoft Fabric.
-
Ability to work in an international environment in French and English.
