IT in Operational Technologies Specialist

• Ensure and carry out enterprise class service level, availability and integrity of information systems inside production machinery
• Plan and implement activities to ensure the information systems inside production machines are well serviced
• Take responsibility for deployment, machine software configuration, validation, scheduled maintenance, reactive maintenance, upgrade and disposal of business owned software
• Accountable for implementation, scheduled maintenance, reactive maintenance, upgrades, and disposal of IT software
• Maintain a technical inventory and documentation of relevant systems
• Manage change and coordinate relevant systems
• Resolve incidents (when able) and escalate/handle support if the topic requires upper support levels
• Manage demand on new IT/OT implementations

• Experience working within an IT services and support environment is desirable
• Previous experience working within an industrial environment supporting/maintaining Information Technology/Systems e.g. Numerical Control, SCADA, HMI
• Knowledge of Cyber Security practices ideally within an industrial context
• Experience in performing installations of Security software & system patches, ideally in an industrial context
• Experience of performing & maintaining software and database backups, including restoring those backups within the Industrial Assets
• Understanding of Networking infrastructure
• Planning & scheduling for maintenance and license management
• Effective management of IT documentation
• Leadership or participation in IT projects with a basic understanding of project management
• Good understanding of MS Operating Systems including legacy systems
• Working knowledge of the Google Workspace environment
• Ability to communicate effectively to both IT professionals and end users
