Job description
- Perform rack audit and equipment inventory
- De-rack and decommission legacy hardware
- Remove unused cabling and perform cable cleanup
- Rack & stack new servers, switches, and infrastructure equipment
- Execute professional cable management and cable dressing
- Assist with basic device configuration support
- Prepare rack elevation diagrams and documentation
- Provide pre- and post-work reports with photos
- Follow data center safety and operational standards
Requirements
- Proven experience working in data centers
- Strong rack & stack and hardware installation experience
- Experience with fiber and copper cabling
- Familiar with live data center environments
- Ability to work independently on site
- Good documentation and reporting skills, * Must bring own laptop and installation toolkit
- Console cable required
- Safety shoes and safety glasses required
- English required, German (B2+) preferred
- Must be eligible to work in Germany
