Job description

  • Take ownership of the security, reliability, and strategic development of IT and digital services
  • Set and deliver a fully centralized digital strategy
  • Provide assurance that services are sector-leading, resilient, user-centered, and high quality
  • Balance operational oversight with strategic leadership across various IT domains
  • Drive transformation, AI adoption, and future-focused investment planning
  • Engage with stakeholders to deliver solutions that support excellent education
  • Lead internal teams and third-party providers, embedding a customer-focused culture
  • Ensure safeguarding, online safety, equality, and statutory responsibilities are central
  • Manage procurement, supplier relationships, and budget ownership

Requirements

  • Proven experience of leading and developing nonperforming teams
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive culture built on trust, clarity, and accountability
  • Comfortable in setting clear expectations and inspiring others
  • Experience leading IT services and digital transformation in a complex, multi-site environment
  • Strong grounding in IT service management, cyber security, and cloud technologies
  • Technical credibility in modern infrastructure, Microsoft 365, and identity and access governance
  • Understanding of good governance, security controls, and platform design
  • Confident in making decisions that support current needs and future scalability
