Job description

QA Automation Engineer

Fully Remote

£350 per day - Outside IR35

Experienced QA Automation Engineer required to support delivery across multiple system and API-driven projects, focusing on building and executing robust automated testing solutions within agile teams.

Key Technical Skills:

Strong JavaScript automation experience with Cypress or Playwright
Proven delivery of E2E and API automation frameworks
Solid understanding of risk-based testing and test coverage strategies
API testing using tools such as Postman/libraries like Axios
Experience with CI/CD and reporting tools (eg Azure DevOps, Git)
Ability to maintain scalable, maintainable automation frameworks

Core Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and execute automation frameworks across E2E and API layers
Define and support the overall testing approach across multiple projects
Ensure effective test coverage aligned to risk and fast feedback loops
Monitor and maintain automation suites to ensure ongoing value
Analyse and report test results, improving visibility across teams
Collaborate with developers and QA to triage and resolve defects
Support manual testing where required to complement automation

Additional Experience:

Working within Agile/Scrum teams
Exposure to large-scale system and API changes
Performance testing and cloud experience (desirable)

6-month contract, remote, working closely with cross-functional delivery teams.
