Job description
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the role requires excellent digital communications skills, including copywriting and content creation for social media, websites and e-newsletters, strong organisational abilities and good interpersonal skills, as well as an understanding of consumer PR activity. You will also work closely with the wider communications, events and external affairs team to support the delivery of consumer-focused PR initiatives., * Plan, create and manage a digital content calendar for social media, websites and e-newsletters, ensuring content is timely, relevant and audience focused.
- Manage 'Always On' social media channels by creating engaging content, growing reach and followers, overseeing daily activity and community management, and repurposing content across other digital platforms.
- Use analytics tools to monitor social media performance and provide insights to guide future strategy and content.
- Improve customer journeys on our consumer websites using data insights, working closely with colleagues and external agencies.
- Keep website content up to date to support key messages and improve SEO and AI search visibility.
- Manage consumer e-newsletters, including segmentation, content creation, testing, sending and ongoing performance reporting.
- Develop and deliver influencer marketing strategies aligned with brand goals, including identifying suitable influencers and managing partnerships, contracts, content planning and feedback.
- Create and manage consumer PR activity by delivering recipe sell-ins, coordinating media outreach, and working collaboratively with the communications and events team to plan and deliver consumer focused PR events.
Monitoring and evaluation
- Monitor and report on the Key Performance Indicators that pertain to the Welsh Brand's owned digital platforms evaluating and recommending areas for continual improvement in line with Operation Plan requirements.
- Contribute to the monitoring and reporting processes of HCC.
Special Projects
- When required to, undertake special projects including but not limited to supporting the communications, events and external affairs team digital communications and content creation.
Requirements
- The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh.
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in communications, marketing or a related field.
- Knowledge of existing and emerging digital communications platforms.
Desirable Criteria
- Knowledge of the food and farming industry., * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Relevant digital communications experience - social, websites and e-newsletters.
- Content creation experience.
- Experience of Canva/ Photoshop (or similar).
- Experience of MailChimp and WordPress (or similar)
- Knowledge of Google Analytics
- The ability to work independently and flexibly
- The capacity to prioritise and work across multiple projects
- Excellent planning and organisational skills to deliver high volumes of quality work

- Experience of Hootsuite.
