Senior Network Security Engineer (Cisco And Check Point)

• The client seeks an experienced engineer to deploy and administer Check Point security gateways, including VSX.
• The candidate should have extensive experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Check Point firewalls in a complex enterprise environment.
• Responsible for administering and simplifying the Check Point rulebase while optimizing utilization to meet business requirements and improve visibility.
• Ensure security best practices are followed across all implementations.
• Design, implement, and manage security policies to support enterprise security strategies.
• Act as a subject matter expert on Cisco data center network technologies and their integration with Check Point security gateways.
• Collaborate with Security, IT, and business stakeholders to test and validate security protections, including IPS, geoblocking, and QoS.
• Perform day-to-day firewall administration and support activities., * Deploy, administer, and support Check Point security gateways.
• Manage Cisco Secure Firewall and Cisco ASA environments.
• Support enterprise security requirements and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Coordinate with IT and business stakeholders for implementation and support activities.
• Provide training to IT staff for ongoing product administration.

• 10+ years of experience deploying and administering Check Point security gateways.
• 10+ years of experience administering and deploying Cisco data center networking products.
• 5+ years of experience administering and deploying Check Point VSX.
• Experience administering and operating Check Point R82.
• Previous or current Check Point and/or Cisco certifications., * Experience deploying and administering Cisco Remote Access VPN solutions.
• Experience deploying and administering Cisco FirePower.

Skills:

• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to train and support IT teams for ongoing administration.

Qualification And Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
