As the IT Project Management Manager, your goal will be to lead complex, multi-year IT projects while mentoring a team of project managers and strengthening project management practices across the agency!The IT Project Management Manager requires knowledge of Washington State project management policies and processes and ensures projects are managed in alignment with established standards and expectations. In this management role, you will provide leadership to the IT Project Management Office by applying project management principles and practices aligned with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and ensuring consistent project oversight.The position oversees the use of DOC project management methodology to ensure appropriate project documentation is developed and maintained which could include project plans, schedules, scope management plans, communication plans, and resource strategies. The candidate of choice will ensure project schedules are created, maintained, and adjusted as needed while managing project scope, schedule, and work effort. We are searching for a candidate who can ensure risks and issues are identified and addressed, decisions are documented and made at the appropriate level, and change control processes are followed.
