Job description
UNFPA maintains a strong network infrastructure at its Headquarters and Field offices to ensure that the uninterrupted and reliable ICT services are delivered to all the users. Therefore, it is important that this infrastructure is properly designed, installed, configured, monitored and upgraded to avoid any disruptions. The purpose of the job is to provide essential network and infrastructure administration services and related management services.
Requirements
Advanced university degree in Computer Science or Engineering or another related field. A first level university degree combined with infrastructure security training and certification programs may be acceptable in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Knowledge and Experience:

2 years' experience in networking and/or network security at the national or international level in the public/private sector

Supplemental courses and training in switch, router, security areas plus technical certifications preferably in Cisco switch systems, ITIL v3, and firewall management and configuration are assets

Experience in supporting network operations in an enterprise environment with hands-on experience in the following areas: Switch configuration; Firewall configuration; TCP/IP protocols; and network infrastructure design

Working knowledge in the development and maintenance of network equipment/systems as well as cloud technology are required

Strong analytical skills
Languages:
Fluency in English is required; knowledge of other official UN languages, preferably French and/or Spanish, is desirable.
