Job description
Veriant Solutions is actively seeking a Network Engineer for a top client. Your expertise in monitoring, troubleshooting, provisioning, and testing will be vital to the success of their data center. This role requires occasional travel to client sites or data center facilities.
What You'll Do:

Setting up local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks, along with configuring firewalls and security appliances.

Maintaining accurate, detailed network topology diagrams, configuration records, and documentation

Network Monitoring: Continuously monitor network performance and health using industry-standard tools to ensure optimal functionality.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex, network issues and providing prompt resolutions to connectivity, bandwidth, or hardware failures.

Provisioning: Configure and provision network equipment and services according to project specifications and best practices.

Testing: Conduct thorough testing of network components to validate performance, reliability, and security before deployment.

Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and processes to ensure compliance and ease of access for team members.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Proven experience as a network engineer, preferably in a data center environment.

Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and security principles.

Proficiency in monitoring and management tools (i.e.., SolarWinds, Nagios, etc.).

Experience with network provisioning and configuration of routers, switches, and firewalls.

Excellent troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to problem solving.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and collaborate with team members.
