Job description
The IT Financial Analyst supports the client's IT finance team by managing vendor financials, purchase orders, and spend tracking across large-scale IT initiatives.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Manage financial operations for IT projects and vendor engagements
- Set up and track purchase orders (CapEx vs. OpEx; software vs. resources)
- Monitor invoices and ensure timely payment in coordination with Accounts Payable
- Track expenses and projections within ERP systems (e.g., Workday, PeopleSoft)
- Run financial reports and perform variance analysis for the general ledger
- Support accruals, reconciliations, and basic GAAP accounting activities
- Manipulate and analyze data in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, reporting)
- Create summary reports and presentation materials for leadership
- Partner with internal IT teams and third-party vendors to ensure accurate spend tracking
Requirements
- Must-Haves:
- 4-6 years of experience supporting IT financial operations
- Direct experience working with IT vendors, SOWs, contracts, and purchase orders
- Hands-on ERP experience (Workday, PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite, etc.)
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data manipulation)
- Experience tracking expenses, forecasts, accruals, and reconciliations
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, enterprise-level environment
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Nice-to-Haves:
- Workday ERP experience
- Experience supporting healthcare IT environments
- Familiarity with large-scale EHR/ERP implementations (e.g., Epic)
- Experience creating charts/graphs and executive-ready PowerPoint presentations
