Backend Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a Backend Engineer to join the Funds & Capital Formation (ACF) Engineering team. The position is local to Dallas, Texas and requires you to be onsite 5 days a week. In this role, you will be focused on the design, development, and support of data driven applications used by investor onboarding teams and fund/portfolio managers. The role supports investor reporting, analytics, and automation initiatives across private funds, with a strong emphasis on Java, data processing, and reporting quality. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience working with Java and Springboot for backend development and extensive experience with designing and implementing RESTful services.

Minimum 3 years working as a backend engineer

-Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot

-Experience building RESTful services and API driven systems

-Strong understanding of data processing, reporting, and data quality

-Experience working with databases (e.g., Sybase IQ, MongoDB)

-Ability to write and optimize SQL

-Experience deploying applications in controlled environments following SDLC best practices

-Ability to collaborate directly with business stakeholders and adapt to changing priorities

-Graduate/Postgraduate or equivalent degree in Computer Science -Industry knowledge of private funds, asset management, or capital formation

-Experience with AI prompts/tools and Data Analytics

-Familiarity with Alloy platform or data automation frameworks

-Frontend exposure with React
