Job description

This position serves as a key member of the UAS IT Services team, offering assistance with computer systems, network access, and a wide range of campus technologies. The Helpdesk Technician helps the university community solve problems, learn new tools, and stay connected. IT Services is a supportive, user-focused department committed to strong communication, positive customer experiences, and continuous learning.

To thrive in this role, candidates should bring strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to users with varying levels of experience. Success in this position comes from being comfortable troubleshooting computer systems, operating systems, and network connectivity issues, as well as maintaining patience and professionalism in a fast-paced support environment. Applicants who have experience with a variety of personal computers and technical tools, and who enjoy helping others learn and solve problems, will excel in this position.

Do you have experience in Customer communication?, Do you have a Trade school?, UAS IT Services is seeking a strong communicator with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service in a supportive, fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys continuous learning and takes pride in helping others grow their technical skills. The position includes evening and weekend shifts and offers the opportunity to be part of a positive, collaborative team., Associates degree and 1 year experience in a relevant field (i.e. Information Technology or related field), OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.

This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 77, based on education and experience.
