Job description
As Senior Data (IT) Analyst in Data Integration Platform organization at Honeywell, you will have opportunity to lead and work with large footprint of various data integration technologies and make a difference by establishing a solid foundation for innovation, performance, reliability, and scalability working on on-prem and public cloud solutions leveraging multiple data integration technologies.
You will lead the Informatica platform and application development, architecture, and operations that are responsible for setting the strategy and delivering a scalable and reliable data platform that supports Honeywell's Digital Platform and Applications. Additionally, you will also participate and provide your guidance for the design and implementation of ETL mappings, governance of production jobs in global high availability and fast paced high-performance environments. You will be responsible to maintain various data models across all applications, design new solutions at the cutting edge of data technology and will deliver large scale systems that will have an impact on revenue growth.
You will report directly to our Sr. Director, IT and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.
Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F, * Lead and contributes to Informatica PowerCenter modernization initiatives to Cloud ETL platforms
- Own the responsibility end to end managing data integration application interfaces in production and non-production environments
- Properly Conduct unit and integration testing with full ownership
- Perform performance tuning and debugging activities.
- Participate in monitoring production jobs and resolving issues.
- Analyze and resolve production job failures and Address and implement break fixes.
- Manage incident tickets and service requests, ensuring closure within defined SLAs.
- Handle requests for minor enhancements as needed.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as application administrators, system administrators, and DBAs to address and resolve failures.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working weekend shifts when required.
- Troubleshoot issues and execute performance tuning tasks.
- Ensure successful deployment of fixes to the production environment.
- Provide on-call support during weekends and off-hours as necessary.
- Automation of regular & day-to-day activities
- Lead the meetings/discussions with the Business to get the requirements finalized.
- Lead interactions with the data architects, database analysts and the users to resolve various source data issues; assist in creating fact and dimension tables based on requirement documentation.
- Create functional ETL routines and verify their reliability to ensure compliance of business rules and propagation of data definitions throughout the ETL processes.
- Manage ETL defects, enhancements, and new functionality requests to meet changes in the business needs.
- Identify and investigate data quality/integrity problems, determine impact and provide solutions to problems.
- Understand SQL, PL/SQL scripts and converted the rules to mappings.
- Work on data loads to and from Flatfile, Oracle, MS SQL, SAP HANA, SalesForce sources and targets.
- Build Mappings using transformations like Union, Lookup, Joiner, Router, Aggregator, Normalizer and Update strategy transformation.
- Involve in fine tuning the mappings for better performance, as part of this used Oracle and Informatica partitioning, built stage tables and applied informatica tuning techniques.
- Lead on IDQ data profiling, rules and scorecards in multiple projects.
- Keep work on JSON files extraction using Data processor transformation in IDQ.
- Develop SQL scripts, Shell scripts to implement business rules
- Validate results of all data migrations and reviewed those results
- Lead unit testing and documenting the processes.
- Involve in production support on-call on a rotation basis, helped troubleshoot multiple production issues.
- Work on various scheduling tools like TIDAL and Autosys.
- Work on Teradata FLOAD, MLOAD, Teradata EXPORT and used pushdown optimization techniques.
- Contribute to formulation of strategies for infrastructure technologies functional areas across various business sectors
- Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements, evaluate controls to help mitigate negative outcomes through prevention, detection and correction - SOX/PCI/GDPR/Export compliance etc.,
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Honeywell, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing.
- Lead and engage in cross-platform training & in bits and bytes sessions on technology trends, create opportunities for career growth, and train the resources across various technologies
Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical solutions implementation?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Minimum 5 years of experience in Informatica PowerCenter and IDMC ETL tools is must and should be ready for hands-on work on a day-today basis.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on-experience on Informatica Power Center 10.x/9.x, Power Analyzer, IICS/IDMC, Informatica Developer (IDQ), databases like Oracle, MSSQL, TOAD 11.0, SQL Developer, Salesforce.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with orchestration tools like Control-M, Redwood
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT with a strong background in Analyzing, Designing, Developing, Testing, and Implementing of Data Warehouse development
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of the core architectural components and design aspects of ETL processes, for designing efficient and scalable data integration solutions

- Bachelors in computer science or equivalent work experience preferred
- Good understanding of complete life cycle implementation of data warehouse.
- Experience in the concepts of building Fact Tables, Dimensional Tables, handling Slowly Changing Dimensions and Surrogate Keys.
- Expertise in designing and developing complex Mappings using Informatica Power Center Transformations -Lookup, Filter, Expression, Router, Joiner, Update Strategy, Aggregator, Stored Procedure, Sorter, Sequence Generator, XML(Sources, Targets, Generator, Parser),HTTP Transformation.
- Expertise in Performance Tuning of sources, mappings, targets and sessions.
- Ability to understand available technology, tools and existing designs and work on complex problems where analysis of situation and Data gathering is required.
- Strong experience in UNIX Shell Scripting, Oracle 11g/10g/9i/8i, SQL, PL/SQL stored procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers, Cursors, Programming and TOAD.
- Excellent Data Analysis skills and ability to translate business logic into mappings using complex transformation logics for ETL processes.
- Hands on experience in Data Modeling using Erwin.
- Worked extensively on R programming and JSON file loads using IDQ.
- Good communication skills and ability to learn new things and be highly motivated.
- Ability to work under stringent deadlines with team as well as independently.
- Minimum of 3+ years of solid hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of data integration technology in Azure, IDMC, AWS
- Experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing and production support
- Experience in transforming to and from on premise environment to cloud technology
- Excellent oral, written and collaborative communication skills.
