Job description
Zachry Construction Corporation is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide entry to mid-level technical support and expertise as part of the corporate IT team. This role is responsible for responding to and triaging support requests for end-user devices, applications, connectivity, and issue escalation across all Zachry Corporation business units. The position will be based at Zachry's corporate headquarters in San Antonio, TX, and will serve as a key contributor in maintaining reliable and efficient technology operations across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical end-user support both in-person and remotely using a variety of support methodologies
- Perform support request triage and coordination to ensure timely responses and successful issue resolution
- Develop a working knowledge of the products, systems, and services utilized across Zachry business lines
- Identify recurring issues and collaborate with team members to implement effective resolutions
- Own and manage support requests throughout their lifecycle, ensuring accurate communication and strong customer service
- Record detailed and accurate documentation of all support activities, including communications, resolutions, and time tracking
- Support imaging and deployment of new user equipment, as well as reconditioning and processing of returned devices
- Install, uninstall, and safely transport end-user equipment, providing remote support for self-installed devices as needed
- Assist with tracking and managing inventory assets and software licenses
- Utilize and support approved tools for device management, monitoring, and utilization
- Focus on knowledge development through continuous learning, collaboration, and training
- Adhere to Zachry IT processes and Standard Operating Procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned to support IT team goals and operations

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years IT help desk/technical support preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification preferred (CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar)
- General knowledge of computers, operating systems, business applications, and basic programming or scripting concepts
- Experience working in networked environments with a solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and general network troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with network printer setup, driver deployment, and print queue management (preferred)
- Strong interest in learning new technologies and providing responsive technical support to end users
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple support requests efficiently
- Ability to occasionally travel (up to 5%) to support end-user operations as needed
