Job description
- Authors Non-Destructive Test (NDT) procedures.
- Incorporates revisions authored by method Responsible Level III in the standard procedure review process.
- Develops Computer Assisted Drawings (CAD) of specialized calibration standard.
- Performs setup for non-destructive test or measurement equipment to calibration standards.
- Composes procedure Figures providing information on inspection location, geometry, accessibility, probe /transducer placement, and notch signal response.
- Reports potential adverse trends or anomalous results.
Requirements
- 20+ years of experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection) or NDT (non-destructive test).
- 20+ years working in aerospace in-service support with ultrasonics testing (UT) and/or eddy current(ET).
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Ability to work variable shifts, overtime, and occasional weekends if necessary.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
- Experience writing UT & ET techniques and inspection procedures
Preferred Skills:
- 25+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 800 hours of Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
- 300 hours of Ultrasonic Shear-Wave Testing
- 800 hours of Eddy Current Testing (ET).
- Experience with CAD Software
Education / Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 20 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
