TEKsystems is in need of a Desktop Support Technician to support end-users in a walk-up, customer-facing environment. This role involves assisting end users with hardware and software issues, deploying new devices, updating asset records, and delivering excellent customer service. The technician will work both independently and collaboratively, supporting a variety of technical needs while maintaining a professional, high-energy presence., * Provide in-person, phone-based, and remote support for end users experiencing hardware or software issues.
- Install, remove, configure, and troubleshoot computer equipment and peripherals.
- Support device deployments, including imaging, wiping, and preparing systems for end users.
- Collaborate with users, technical teams, and vendors to resolve incidents and fulfill service requests.
- Maintain accurate asset records within an internal tracking system.
- Prioritize incoming requests and escalate issues appropriately.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Participate in project-related tasks as assigned.
- Apply sound judgment when identifying solutions to technical problems.
- Complete work with attention to detail and accuracy, following established guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- 2+ years of related IT support experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable supporting users in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
- Familiarity with asset management processes and general IT support workflows.
- Ability to multitask and shift focus as needed throughout the day.
- Experience working with both Windows and macOS devices is helpful.
