- Manage and troubleshoot computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software applications, including Microsoft Office suite.
- Configure and maintain computer networks, including LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, and other IT infrastructure components.
- Assist with desktop support tasks such as installing, upgrading, and repairing computers and peripherals.
- As well as On-site repairs and client drop offs- you will also be responsible for service calls. It is required to have a reliable vehicle to perform service calls.
- Support the setup and maintenance of network devices like routers, switches, and wireless access points to ensure optimal connectivity.
- Troubleshoot software issues related to operating systems or applications by diagnosing problems efficiently and implementing solutions.
- Collaborate with team members to improve IT processes and document procedures for future reference.
Requirements
- Proven experience providing technical support for computer hardware and software issues.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN setup, VPN configuration, firewalls, and security protocols.
- Proficiency in managing various operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
- Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems for tracking issues and resolutions.
- Ability to troubleshoot software problems related to Microsoft Office applications and other common productivity tools.
- Understanding of IT security measures including firewall management and network access controls.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively assist users at all technical levels while maintaining a positive customer service attitude.
