Job description

  • Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of IT equipment , following specific instructions and safety protocols.

  • Conduct post-execution quality checks to ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues , quickly identifying causes and performing break-fix repairs on faulty components.

  • Decommission hardware for system refreshes, including memory upgrades and OS rebuilds .

  • Monitor systems for equipment failures or errors and respond to program error messages effectively.

What's Needed?

  • Computer Science majors OR CompTIA A+ or Server+ certifications .

Requirements

Our client, a leader in technology solutions, is seeking a Data Center Technician to join their team. As a Data Center Technician, you will be part of the IT department supporting critical infrastructure operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization., + Previous experience with Geek Squad computer repair or similar computer repair technician roles .

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components .

  • 1 - 5 years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).

  • Flexibility to work non-standard business hours , including weekends and/or holidays.
