Job description
The Talent / HRIS Platforms team is seeking a highly technical and strategic Senior Workday Integration Lead to spearhead the architecture, development, and maintenance of our global data ecosystem. This role serves as the critical bridge between our HR technology stack and the broader enterprise landscape (Finance, IT, Identity Management, and Third-Party Vendors).
You will ensure that data flows seamlessly and securely across our infrastructure, optimizing for scale and reliability to support our 20K employees worldwide. This individual will combine deep technical "under-the-hood" Workday expertise with strong project leadership and a focus on high-integrity data automation.
What You'll Do:
- Architect, develop, and deploy complex end-to-end integrations using the full Workday technical stack (Studio, Cloud Connect, EIB, and BIRT).
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Workday Extend/Orchestrate and API-based integrations (REST/SOAP), ensuring high system availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 3 technical integration failures, data discrepancies, and connectivity issues, coordinating with internal IT and external vendor support.
- Build and maintain complex calculated fields, XSLT transformations, and custom reports required for data delivery.
- Manage Workday Integration Security Groups (ISGs) and System User (ISU) accounts, ensuring all data transmissions adhere to global privacy laws and SOX-compliant protocols.
- Partner with HR, Finance, and Global Payroll teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications for automated data exchanges.
- Lead technical efforts for Workday semi-annual releases, performing impact analysis on integrations and conducting rigorous regression testing.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including data maps, architectural diagrams, and error-handling procedures.
- Provide technical guidance to junior analysts and configuration engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience specifically focused on Workday Integration development and architecture.
- Expert Proficiency in Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, and Document Transformation (DT).
- Deep Technical Knowledge of XSLT, XML, XPath, and Web Services (SOAP, REST).
- Proven Record of managing complex organization-wide projects, including large-scale vendor implementations (e.g., Benefits providers, Payroll providers, or IAM systems).
- Global Mindset: Experience maintaining integrations that support complex organizations covering multiple geographies and local regulatory requirements.
- Communication Skills: The ability to translate "technical speak" into business impact for non-technical stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
- Advanced Reporting Skills: Expertise in Workday Custom Reporting and Calculated Fields as they relate to outbound data extraction.
- Preferred: Workday Integration Certification or experience with Workday Extend and Prism Analytics.
