Our firm is supporting a leading global enterprise in the science, manufacturing, and innovations sector in identifying a highly skilled Workday Configurations Specialist with deep expertise in Workers\u2019 Compensation and Benefits. This position plays a critical role in designing, optimizing, and maintaining Workday solutions that support large-scale, complex HR operations across a global footprint. This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking HR Technology organization where you will lead strategic configuration initiatives, partner with senior HR stakeholders, and influence the future of digital HR experiences., As a Workday Configurations Specialist, you will serve as the primary expert for advanced configuration across Workers\u2019 Compensation and Benefits. You will be responsible for end-to-end solution design, governance, testing leadership, and the continuous enhancement of Workday capabilities.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams\u2014including HR, Total Rewards, IT, and global business partners\u2014to ensure the Workday platform delivers scalable, compliant, and intuitive employee experiences., Workday Expertise & Solution Design \t
- Lead advanced configuration design across Workers\u2019 Compensation and Benefits.\t
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable, user-focused Workday solutions.\t
- Ensure compliance with governance standards, global regulatory requirements, and data privacy policies.\t
- Create streamlined, efficient processes and workflows that enhance employee and manager experience.\t
- Collaborate with technical teams on integrations, EIBs, data flows, and security models.
HR Technology Optimization & Innovation \t
- Drive evaluation and adoption of Workday releases and emerging capabilities.\t
- Identify automation, simplification, and user-experience improvement opportunities.\t
- Research HR technology trends to shape long-term Workday strategy.\t
- Recommend enhancements to support evolving HR and business needs.
Project Leadership & Governance \t
- Lead plan-to-deploy activities for Workday enhancements and roadmap initiatives.\t
- Oversee structured testing cycles including planning, script creation, execution, and defect resolution.\t
- Maintain documentation, configuration controls, and audit readiness.\t
- Provide guidance and mentorship to HR Technology Analysts and project teams.
Stakeholder Partnership & Collaboration \t
- Serve as a trusted advisor to HR leaders and global business partners.\t
- Facilitate design sessions, workshops, and decision-making discussions.\t
- Translate technical concepts into clear, actionable insights.\t
- Ensure alignment across HR Operations, Total Rewards, Talent, IT, and external partners.
Troubleshooting, Support & Continuous Improvement \t
- Lead resolution of complex break/fix issues within Workers\u2019 Compensation and Benefits.\t
- Conduct QA reviews and oversee regression testing for releases.\t
- Ensure integration accuracy and reliability.\t
- Promote user-centric design principles and optimize HR experiences.\t
- Deliver training, documentation, and guidance to analysts and business partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor\u2019s degree (completed and verified prior to start). \t
- 5+ years of HR Technology experience in a private, public, government, or military organization. \t
- 5+ years of Workday configuration experience in Core HCM within a similar environment.
Preferred Qualifications \t
- Advanced Workday configuration skills across HCM, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Security, and Reporting. \t
- Proven experience designing and deploying large-scale, global Workday solutions. \t
- Strong project management and stakeholder influence skills across senior leadership levels. \t
- Workday Pro certification. \t
- Experience with EIBs, HR transformations, M&A or divestiture activities. \t
- Experience mentoring analysts or leading project teams. \t
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities. \t
- Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform or RPA tools.
