Applications Engineer - Kentwood Area job in Kentwood

• Provide technical support for manufacturing applications and systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to production software and hardware.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define application requirements and specifications.
• Develop and implement solutions for optimizing manufacturing processes.
• Configure and maintain manufacturing execution systems (MES) and related applications.
• Participate in the testing and validation of new software releases and system upgrades.
• Create and maintain documentation for applications, procedures, and system configurations.
• Train end-users on new applications and system functionalities.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical sales, or field support within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and industrial control systems.
• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide technical solutions to complex challenges.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and industrial automation systems.
• Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) software.
• Knowledge of data acquisition and analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL) for manufacturing data.
• CAD/CAM software proficiency (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam).
• Experience with robotics or other advanced manufacturing technologies.
