Job description
- Design, develop, and test embedded software and hardware for manufacturing equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications for production lines.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex embedded systems issues in a manufacturing environment.
- Implement and maintain real-time operating systems (RTOS) and firmware for industrial control systems.
- Optimize embedded system performance and reliability for high-volume manufacturing processes.
- Develop and execute test plans for new and existing embedded systems to ensure quality and functionality on the factory floor.
- Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel on embedded system operation and maintenance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in embedded software development for manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming for microcontrollers and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Hands-on experience with hardware-software integration, debugging, and testing of embedded systems.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET).
- Experience with sensor integration, motor control, and data acquisition systems in manufacturing., * Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus).
- Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 13849, IEC 61508).
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000).
