Job description

  • Design and implement firmware for manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and debug embedded systems during production.
  • Develop and maintain test fixtures for hardware validation.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers on system integration.
  • Optimize embedded code for performance and resource utilization.
  • Participate in the full product lifecycle from concept to deployment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in embedded software development for manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems, with experience in real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Hands-on experience with microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM, PIC) and peripherals (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, ADC, DAC).
  • Demonstrated ability to debug hardware/software issues using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and in-circuit debuggers.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET).

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) beyond basic implementations.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus).
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and debug hardware-software interactions in a production environment.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for embedded systems.
  • Experience with simulation tools for system-level design and verification.
