Job description
- Design and implement embedded software for manufacturing automation systems.
- Troubleshoot and debug hardware/software issues in production environments.
- Develop and maintain firmware for industrial control systems and sensors.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to integrate embedded systems into new products and processes.
- Perform system testing and validation to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards.
- Optimize existing embedded systems for improved efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in embedded systems development, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial automation context.
- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems, with experience in real-time operating systems (RTOS) like FreeRTOS or Zephyr.
- Experience with microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM Cortex-M, ESP32) and peripheral interfaces (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, CAN).
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET) and sensor integration.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) beyond basic implementations.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus).
- Demonstrated ability to debug complex hardware/software interactions using tools like logic analyzers or oscilloscopes.
- Knowledge of functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508).
