Job description
The IT Support Specialist will be an enthusiastic, caring, and creative team member of the Ashbrook Operations team that serves preschool through 8th grade. The IT Support Specialist will promote the School's Mission and function under the direction of the Head of School or designee as a contributing member of the overall school community.

Serve as part of Ashbrook's operations team., The IT Support Specialist will:
-
Support school staff and other stakeholders with the daily operations of all technology
-
Own all aspects of service management including dispatch, configuration, escalation and resolution

Respond to user inquiries regarding software and hardware issues, including computers, tablets, printers, scanners, etc.

Provide orientation to new users of existing technology

Train staff about potential uses of new, existing, and potential technology

Support parents in accessing and using applicable technology resources for their students' daily learning activities

Provide individual training and support on request

Coordinate annual Iowa assessments - scheduling, technology set-up, training of staff, monitoring proctors, work with the Assistant Head of School on disseminating result reports to families and staff
Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software
- Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system
- Install, set up and move computer related equipment for employee use; verify all cables and peripheral equipment is connected properly, and essential software is functional
- Maintain familiarity with all hardware and software and the network operating system
- Document technical issues and accepted solutions in service management software
- Keep current on new software releases, analyze impact to the school and provide input on future direction
- Provide recommendations about accessing information and support
- Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources
Work with the Head of School or designee to manage the information technology and computer systems at Ashbrook School.
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems
- Develop and implement procedures for information systems operations, development and security
- Meet with the Head of School and the Operations team to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
- Help to select and manage information systems contractors to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems
- Monitor the computer systems budget and expenditures
- Manage, monitor, and update the school's website
Requirements
- Training and/or certification/degree in area related to IT Support.
- Preferred: Knowledge and experience with IT Support in non-profits and/or schools.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, WordPress, HTML, Windows Server/Active directory/ group policy
Benefits & conditions
Hourly wage rate will be determined based on experience level.
Base salary starts at $21.26 per hour. This is a 0.63 FTE position with varying daily hours and some weekend hours based job tasks. Minimum of 25 hours per week.
233 day contract
