Network and Technical Support Engineer

Visit 1 - Installation & Deployment

• Conduct site assessment of existing switches and UPS setup
• Capture pre-installation photos and document current connections
• Remove legacy hardware (switches & UPS units)
• Install new switches and UPS units in rack
• Perform cabling, labeling, and cleanup according to standards
• Power on devices and verify basic status (LEDs, power)
• Submit installation checklist with photographic evidence

Visit 2 - Cutover & Validation

• Support network cutover in coordination with remote team
• Assist with basic troubleshooting during and after cutover
• Ensure all devices are functioning properly post-cutover
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Remove and pack decommissioned hardware
• Submit final cutover report, UAT confirmation, and decommissioning inventory

Category Requirements

• Hardware Installation Hands-on rack & stack, cabling, labeling, power handling
• Networking Basic L1/L2 network knowledge (switches, ports, connectivity)
• UPS & Power Experience installing and handling UPS units
• Troubleshooting Ability to assist with basic network issue resolution
• Coordination Work independently and coordinate with remote engineering teams
• Documentation Strong reporting skills (checklists, photos, cutover reports, UAT forms), * Previous field engineering or Smart Hands experience
• Familiarity with Cisco Meraki switches and APC UPS units
• Basic networking certification (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+)

• Onsite at multiple client locations
• Two scheduled visits per site
• Independent work with remote team support

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
