Job description

Our client is seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to become a vital part of their technical operations team. In this role, you'll be the go-to resource for end users across the organization-resolving issues, maintaining critical infrastructure, and ensuring the security and reliability of key systems. If you take ownership of your work, communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and are passionate about delivering exceptional IT experiences, this opportunity was built for you., * Manage and resolve help desk tickets using tools like FreshService, ensuring timely prioritization, tracking, and thorough documentation of issues and solutions.

  • Provide hands-on technical support for a wide range of hardware and software issues-including application errors, peripheral troubleshooting (printers, scanners), and OS-level support across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain servers and workstations, while overseeing the Veeam Backup System to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Support internal networks using knowledge of IP addressing, DNS, routers, and VPNs, and assist with monitoring and responding to alerts via tools such as SolarWinds.
  • Enforce baseline security procedures, manage access controls, and securely process password resets to safeguard company data and systems.

Requirements

  • Proven, hands-on experience in an IT Support, Help Desk, or similar technical role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
  • Solid working knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux environments, including user account management and provisioning.
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (IP addressing, DNS, routers, VPNs) and experience with ticketing platforms such as FreshService, Jira, or ServiceNow.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts clearly for non-technical users at all levels of the organization.
