Position Description: Our client is looking for a HRIS & Payroll Supervisor for an onsite position located in Richmond, VA. Our client is one of the largest global suppliers of lubricant additives and offers a broad line of fuel additives worldwide. They develop, manufacture, blend, and deliver chemical additives that enhance the performance of petroleum products. They are a leading manufacturer and marketer of performance enhancing fuel and lubricant additives with operations around the world. AMPAC, with operations in the U.S., is a manufacturer of specialty materials primarily used in solid rocket motors for the aerospace and defense industries. Requirements: Supports HRIS and Payroll teams and other leaders through research and analysis. Accountable for data integrity and reporting of the payroll and global HR system. Provides a high level of accuracy in managing data to ensure that results are precise and reliable.
- Oversee data quality and integrity within HRIS and payroll systems, ensuring accurate and reliable information for reporting and analysis
- Lead and support HRIS and payroll system updates, configuration changes, testing, and technology enhancements
- Interpret complex data and convert it into clear, actionable insights while maintaining strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Understand business needs and identify the data required to support effective decision making
- Oversee the end to end payroll process to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll for all employee
- Review and approve payroll calculations, adjustments, and changes in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Maintain payroll records and audit data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Lead year end payroll activities, including W?2 processing, reporting, and audit support
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, and department leaders to resolve payroll discrepancies, respond to inquiries, and support cross functional needs
- Supervise, train, and support staff; provide guidance on complex issues and ensure consistent application of payroll and HRIS procedures
- Identify opportunities to streamline HRIS and payroll operations to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer service
- Provide support in other areas of HR as needed (e.g. special projects and vacation cover)
Requirements
- They must know reporting (this is number one)
- Experience with payroll is ideal but that can be taught.
- They also need people management experience.
- Bachelors' in HR, Business or Related Field
- Strong Excel, * Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Knowledge of UKG System preferred
- Experience in IBM Cognos report writing preferred or comparable reporting software required
- Knowledge of SQR reporting or SQL preferred
