Job description
We are seeking an L2 Desktop Support Technician with a strong application-support focus to serve as an escalation point for L1 tickets and provide hands-on, onsite technical support. This role blends traditional desktop support with troubleshooting and supporting a custom, SQL-backed business application, working closely with Tier 3 engineering teams., * Provide onsite L2 desktop support for end users, including deskside troubleshooting and IT assistance
- Serve as an escalation point for L1 support tickets, owning issues through resolution
- Troubleshoot and support:
- Desktops and laptops
- Peripherals and printers
- Wi-Fi, VPN, and network connectivity issues
- Audio/visual and conference room technology
- Diagnose and resolve application-related issues, including user access, performance, and functional errors
- Support a custom business application backed by SQL, following documented processes and training
- Run and interpret basic SQL queries to assist with troubleshooting and validation
- Collaborate with Tier 3 teams (SQL, Azure, Microsoft 365) to resolve complex incidents and defects
- Document issues, root causes, and resolution steps clearly and consistently
Requirements
- 2-6+ years of onsite IT support experience in an enterprise environment
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Desktop and laptop support
- Printers, peripherals, and end-user hardware
- Wi-Fi, VPN, and basic networking concepts
- A/V systems and conference room technology
- Proven experience troubleshooting applications, not just hardware
- Ability to run and understand basic SQL queries
- Experience supporting or troubleshooting custom or internally developed applications
- Comfortable acting as an L2 resource and escalation contact
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration
- Experience supporting line-of-business or custom enterprise applications
- Familiarity with ITSM tools and structured ticketing workflows

This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr.
