Job description
- Lead the design and architecture of enterprise data warehouse solutions using Teradata.
- Define data models, integration strategies, and performance optimization techniques.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and architecture blueprints.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
- Provide expertise in Teradata architecture, including utilities such as TPT, BTEQ, FastLoad, and MultiLoad.
- Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT processes and dimensional data models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Ensure data governance, security, quality, lineage, and compliance standards are met.
- Support performance tuning and optimization of data warehouse systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and architectural best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture, including at least 5 years working with Teradata environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Teradata SQL and Teradata utilities.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation.
- Experience with Azure cloud-based environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with data governance, data security, data quality, and data catalog practices.
- Exposure to data lake architectures and integration with Teradata is a plus.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
