Job description

The Senior Data Scientist AI Native (Growth) will drive growth and user retention by optimizing the customer funnel from registration to subscription and churn reduction. This role is central to the Growth team's strategy, working cross-functionally with marketing, user acquisition, and business teams to enable data-driven decisions that impact millions of users. The position focuses on applying advanced machine learning, statistical modeling, and experimentation to scale growth initiatives and improve customer lifetime value.

  1. Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable A/B tests and causal inference models to optimize user acquisition and retention

  • Develop automation tools for experimentation and user segmentation

  • Create predictive models to enhance trial-to-subscription conversion and reduce churn

  • Use clustering, behavioral, and geospatial data to identify user segments and personalize experiences

  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers on feature development and innovation

  • Partner with marketing and user acquisition teams to translate data insights into strategies

  • Work with data engineering to improve data infrastructure and pipelines for analysis

  • Mentor team members and promote best practices in experimentation, machine learning, and AI-native development

Requirements

  • 4+ years in data science, machine learning, or analytics focused on growth and user retention

  • Expertise in causal inference, A/B testing, and statistical modeling

  • Proficiency in machine learning models for segmentation, personalization, and prediction

  • Skilled in Python (Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow) and SQL

  • Experience with big data tools such as Spark, AWS, and Databricks

  • Background in product development or customer lifecycle management

  • Strong business acumen to translate data insights into action

  • Effective communication and leadership abilities for cross-functional influence

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field

Preferred:

  • Experience with subscription products, lifecycle marketing, or user acquisition

  • Familiarity with geospatial data and mobile location services

  • Knowledge of Bayesian, uplift modeling, and reinforcement learning

  • Experience with automation tools for experimentation and data science operations

  • Background in fast-paced consumer technology environments

Benefits & conditions

  1. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
  • For US-based candidates, salary ranges from $129,000 to $190,000 USD

  • For Canada-based candidates, salary ranges from $149,500 to $176,000 CAD

  • Final salary depends on experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors
