Job description

A well-established organization is seeking an IT Support Specialist I to join its internal IT team in the West Chicago suburbs. This role focuses on delivering high-quality technical support across desktop environments, user access, and day-to-day IT service operations. The environment includes Windows and Mac workstations, enterprise applications, and a ticket-driven service model., * 45% Desktop & End-User Support (Windows / Mac)

  • 20% User Access & Account Management
  • 20% Hardware Imaging, Setup, and Configuration
  • 15% Printers, peripherals, and general troubleshooting

Daily Responsibilities

  • 80% Hands-On Technical Support
  • 10% Documentation & Ticket Updates
  • 10% Team Collaboration & Follow-Ups

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and printer issues

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Exposure to Citrix desktop environments
  • Active Directory or user access management experience
  • Basic WAN/LAN networking knowledge
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) proficiency
  • Coursework in Computer Science or IT-related fields
