Job description
Description We are looking for an IT Applications Manager to oversee core workplace technologies and ensure employees have reliable, secure tools to do their best work. This contract opportunity is based in California and is ideal for a hands-on leader who can balance technical administration, service delivery, and cross-functional project coordination. The role will guide the performance of user-facing systems while helping improve collaboration platforms, endpoint management, and operational support processes., * Direct the day-to-day administration and optimization of the Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Active Directory, and related Office applications.

Oversee endpoint management and security operations by supporting Intune, Microsoft Defender, and the broader end-user computing landscape.

Lead Service Desk performance by monitoring service levels, improving response quality, and driving effective handling of incidents, requests, and recurring issues.

Administer the SharePoint ecosystem, including the main portal and associated sites, to maintain usability, governance, and business alignment.

Coordinate purchasing, renewals, and administrative tracking for assigned software platforms, systems, and SaaS licenses.

Manage support and upkeep for office audiovisual technology to ensure dependable meeting and presentation experiences across company locations.

Plan, prioritize, and assign work related to application initiatives, enhancements, and change management efforts for supported systems.
Requirements

Partner with internal stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and implement practical technology solutions that support daily operations. Requirements * Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Enterprise technologies, including Office 365, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Active Directory.

Demonstrated expertise in endpoint administration using Microsoft Intune and security tooling such as Microsoft Defender.

Experience managing or improving Service Desk operations with accountability for service levels and support outcomes.

Working knowledge of SharePoint administration, including portal oversight and site support.

Background handling software procurement, licensing administration, or SaaS asset coordination.

Familiarity with end-user computer systems and office audiovisual support in a business environment.

Ability to lead technical projects, organize priorities, and coordinate change activities across supported platforms.
