Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in O'Fallon, MO / Purchase, NY / Boston, MA. The ideal candidate is responsible for building secure, reliable, and scalable data pipelines across enterprise platforms. Rate Range: $53/hour to $64/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Data Engineer Job Responsibilities include: Design and develop complex, reusable data workflows using Apache Airflow for scheduling, orchestration, and monitoring of enterprise data pipelines. Build and optimize high-volume data ingestion and streaming pipelines using Apache NiFi with custom processors and controller services. Develop and maintain large-scale data processing jobs using Apache Spark and integrate them with Airflow and NiFi frameworks. Implement and manage object storage solutions using MinIO and AWS S3 to ensure data availability, durability, and performance. Secure data pipelines and platforms using SSL/TLS, mTLS, certificate management, IAM, and Java Keystores. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred. 6-8 years of experience in data engineering or large-scale data platform development. Strong hands-on expertise with Apache Airflow and Apache NiFi for orchestration, high-volume data ingestion, and workflow automation. Proven experience with Spark, Java/Python, Linux environments, and secure cloud-based data solutions using AWS S3, IAM, and certificate management.
