Job description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Network Engineer to support network initiatives for their environment. This role is heavily focused on routing and switching, supporting network infrastructure projects, with limited ticket-based troubleshooting handled through ServiceNow as needed.
The ideal candidate has a strong Cisco background, is comfortable working across enterprise networking environments, and can operate independently in the field when required. This position does not require any telephony or IP phone experience.

Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer
- Strong routing and switching experience (Cisco environment)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches
- Ability to support and execute network-focused projects
- Willingness to occasionally troubleshoot tickets via ServiceNow from the field
- Must be located within ~3 hours of Harrisburg, PA - Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, etc.)
- Wireless networking experience (preferably Meraki)
- Experience with fiber optic networks and optical gear
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
- Experience with radio systems (currently VHF; migrating to cellular/BeOn)
- Data center experience
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds Orion
