Job description
Insight Global is looking for a network engineer to join a global medical technology client on a contract basis. As a network engineer you will be responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, securing, and supporting enterprise and cloud-based network infrastructure, with a strong focus on AWS cloud networking. This role will manage firewalls, and network configurations specifically deploying and supporting network security controls, including firewalls, security groups, NACLs, VPNs, and load balancers. Responsibility will also include installing, configuring, and maintain firewalls, switches, routers, wireless controllers, and network appliances.
Requirements
2-3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer in enterprise or cloud environments -Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud networking -Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs) -Experience managing firewalls, switches, routers, and network controllers -Familiarity with VPN technologies (site-to-site, client VPN) -Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools -Understanding of network security best practices and segmentation
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty, Solutions Architect) -Experience with SD-WAN, wireless networking, or global enterprise networks -Exposure to network automation or scripting -Experience supporting large-scale, multi-account AWS environments
