Job description

The Panther Group is seeking one experienced Electro-Optical Systems Integration & Test Engineer to support advanced space sensor development programs in Orlando, FL. This is a high-impact opportunity for an engineer with deep expertise in electro-optical, optical, Infrared (IR), and sensor system integration supporting mission-critical aerospace and defense technologies.

This role is ideal for a candidate with strong experience in sensor development, test planning, system integration, verification/validation, and advanced electronic testing for highly complex environments. What You’ll Do

  • Support sensor development programs focused on:
  • Electro-Optical systems
  • Optical systems
  • Infrared (IR) systems
  • Space applications
  • Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain solutions for:
  • In-house developed systems
  • COTS/GOTS components
  • Subsystems and full systems
  • Lead design integration, test, verification, and validation of advanced electro-optical systems
  • Develop:
  • Advanced test plans
  • Test procedures
  • Execution schedules
  • Technical reports
  • Conduct system and subsystem electronic, optical, and IR testing
  • Analyze test data and prepare customer- and stakeholder-facing evaluation reports
  • Solve hardware/software interface issues and support root cause investigations
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, customers, and stakeholders to ensure technical, schedule, and performance requirements are met
  • Perform discrepancy reporting and regression testing to validate corrective actions

Requirements

  • Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance (required to start)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
  • Physics
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Optical Engineering
  • Systems Engineering
  • Related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in:
  • Electro-optical
  • Optical
  • Infrared (IR) design and development
  • 6+ years of experience in:
  • Design integration
  • Test engineering
  • Verification/validation
  • Advanced test plan development
  • Electronic testing
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Physics
  • Sensor systems
  • Space or aerospace applications
  • System test methodologies, * Environmental Stress Screening (ESS)
  • Space, aerospace, or defense program experience
  • Advanced sensor technologies
  • Optical instrumentation
  • Systems engineering lifecycle expertise

Pay $71.59 per hour DOE
