Job description

We're partnering with a fast-growing Managed Services Provider that's investing heavily in its commercial growth team and looking to hire a Business Development Representative with the ambition to develop into a full Business Development Manager role.

This is not a traditional "appointment-setting only" BDR position. The role is designed for someone who wants to progress into a consultative sales career, with exposure to the full sales cycle, opportunity management, and deal progression alongside experienced technical and commercial teams.

The business delivers modern infrastructure, connectivity, cloud, and secure networking solutions to organisations across the UK, working with leading technologies across SD-WAN, SASE, cloud, backup & disaster recovery, and managed services.

The Role

  • Build and develop new business opportunities through proactive outreach and prospecting

  • Qualify and progress opportunities through the sales pipeline

  • Support and develop customer conversations around connectivity, cloud, networking, and managed services

  • Gain exposure to solution-led sales across SD-WAN, SASE, hosted infrastructure, backup & disaster recovery, and cloud solutions

  • Work closely with Pre-Sales and technical teams to help shape customer solutions

  • Develop relationships with IT stakeholders and decision-makers

  • Learn how to manage opportunities from initial engagement through to close

Requirements

  • Experience in BDR, SDR, internal sales, account management, or IT sales

  • Interest in IT infrastructure, networking, cloud, cybersecurity, or managed services

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Commercially driven with a proactive, growth-focused mindset

  • Someone looking to progress into a more consultative Business Development Manager role

  • Organised, motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-growth environment
