Job description
- Deliver the technical execution of migrating the server estate to a cloud model
- Manage Active Directory, AD Connect, and Entra ID
- Maintain the existing RDS environment and research modern alternatives
- Administer the M365 tenant including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams
- Manage the current backup regime and contribute to disaster recovery planning
- Execute the approved plan to standardise networks across all sites
- Manage WAN circuits and site-to-site VPN architecture
- Maintain switches, wireless access points, cabling, and IP addressing across sites
- Procure, build, deploy, and dispose of laptops and peripherals
- Continuously improve the technical security posture of the group
- Implement and maintain a structured patching and vulnerability management process
- Support Cyber Essentials certification and manage IT governance
- Provide hands-on support across all nine sites
- Act as the on-site responder for infrastructure incidents
- Use SolarWinds IT Service Desk for ticketing and monitoring
- Manage vendor relationships and procurement processes

Requirements
- Practical understanding of cloud services (Azure, AWS, or equivalent)
- Solid M365 administration experience including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, conditional access, and licence management
- Hands-on experience with AD, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP for managing the current Windows Server estate
- Strong TCP/IP, VPN, firewall, and VLAN fundamentals
- Experience deploying and managing Windows endpoints at scale
- Genuine understanding of cyber security principles and current best practices
- Clear communicator with non-technical colleagues and senior stakeholders
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across England
- Relevant certifications (AZ-104, MS-102, CompTIA Security+) are welcome but not required
