Job description
- Develop comprehensive Software Test Plans and Test Procedures for safety-critical systems
- Design and implement requirements-based automated software tests (Tier 4 & Tier 5)
- Build and maintain automated test infrastructure tailored to Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) such as MACU, DAMU, ANP-R, and MAGU
- Create and execute requirements-based test scripts to validate system behavior and compliance
- Develop automated unit test infrastructure aligned with formal Software Test Plans
- Enable collection and management of regression test artifacts through structured automation frameworks
- Ensure test systems are scalable, repeatable, and compliant with aviation safety standards
- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate system requirements into robust, testable architectures
- Support verification and validation activities across unit, integration, system, and regression testing
- Contribute to certification readiness by ensuring full traceability between requirements, tests, and results
- Identify and resolve software defects through structured debugging and analysis
- Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and automation strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry (or equivalent technical discipline)
- 5+ years of related engineering experience
- OR Master's + 3 years experience
- OR PhD or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience developing software test plans and test procedures
- Strong background in requirements-based software testing
- Experience building automated test infrastructure for complex systems
- Ability to develop automated test scripts and validation frameworks
- Experience with unit, integration, and regression testing in automated environments
- Strong understanding of software lifecycle, verification, and validation processes
- Experience working in regulated or safety-critical engineering environments, * Experience supporting aviation, aerospace, or defense systems
- Familiarity with Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) such as MACU, DAMU, ANP-R, MAGU
- Experience designing test automation frameworks for embedded systems
- Knowledge of software certification and compliance standards
- Background in building scalable test infrastructure for multiple system configurations
- Experience working with complex, distributed development and test environments
- Strong understanding of traceability between requirements, tests, and results
