Cash Application Specialist

• Process incoming customer payments from multiple channels and record them accurately within the company's accounting platform.
• Investigate payment discrepancies such as short remittances, unapplied funds, and incorrect postings, then take appropriate action to resolve them.
• Match daily cash activity against bank records and accounts receivable balances to confirm completeness and accuracy.
• Work with customers and internal teams to obtain remittance details and clear exceptions efficiently.
• Contribute to month-end accounting activities related to cash receipts and receivables reporting.
• Maintain organized support files and reliable audit documentation for all cash application transactions.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen cash posting workflows, accuracy, and internal controls. Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in cash applications, accounts receivable, or a similar accounting support role.
• Practical experience using an ERP or accounting system such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or a comparable platform.
• Demonstrated ability to manage high transaction volume with strong accuracy and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of accounts receivable procedures and core accounting concepts.
