Job description
The IT Desktop Support Technician serves as the first point of contact for end users, providing hands-on technical support for both Windows and Mac environments. This role requires strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills, experience working within enterprise ITSM processes, and the ability to support end users across multiple applications and networked environments., * Provide end-user support via phone, email, and walk-up requests for Windows and Mac systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve software break/fix issues
- Perform hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair
- Build and deploy new system images
- Manage incidents, including ticket updates and closures, using an ITSM platform
- Perform IMAC activities such as installs, moves, adds, and changes
- Troubleshoot operating system configuration issues and apply resolutions
- Reinstall software applications, drivers, and add-ins as needed
- Provide general onsite IT support across the organization
Requirements
- 3+ years of end-user desktop support experience
- Hands-on experience with computer configuration and repair
- 3+ years of experience working with incident management and IT ticketing systems
- Experience with systems management tools (SMS or equivalent)
- Strong Active Directory experience
- Microsoft 365 (O365) and Okta experience beyond basic administration
- PowerShell scripting experience
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
- Experience supporting Apple Mac hardware and macOS
- Experience using disk imaging software
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to self-manage workloads, prioritize tasks, and independently close issues
- Strong communication, documentation, and end-user training skills
- Ability to lift and move PCs, servers, and related IT equipment
Preferred Skills
- JAMF experience (3+ years)
- Microsoft Intune experience (3+ years)
- Apple Business Manager experience (3+ years)
- Endpoint lifecycle management experience

This is a Contract position based out of Andover, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
