- Provide support for Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems, including:
- OS installations and upgrades
- Troubleshooting OS-related issues in a networked environment
- Adding and removing users from the network and systems
- Perform hardware support and deployments, including:
- PC and laptop deployments
- Hardware and peripheral installations
- Equipment setup and field-based technical work
- Serve as a frontline IT representative, delivering professional, customer-focused support to all internal users
- Work independently to resolve issues while maintaining clear communication with users and IT leadership
- Document issues, resolutions, and procedures accurately and consistently
Requirements
The Desktop Support Technician provides hands-on technical support for end users in a Windows 10/11 enterprise environment. This role is responsible for workstation and hardware support, operating system installations, user access management, and field-based technical assistance. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, self-motivated, and able to work independently while delivering high-quality IT support across the organization., * 5+ qualification points required, based on a combination of education and experience
- A Bachelor's degree counts toward qualification points
- Candidates with a Bachelor's degree must have at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Relevant professional experience may be used to meet the total point requirement, * 3+ years of experience supporting Windows 10/11 in a corporate, networked environment
- 3+ years of hands-on hardware support experience, including PC deployments and field technician work
- Experience managing user access and basic network connectivity tasks
- Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse user groups
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently and self-manage workload

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canandaigua, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
