Network Engineer

Insight Xcite is on the hunt for a sharp, experienced Network Engineer to support a key mission-focused client in Northern Virginia. This isn't your run-of-the-mill networking gig - you'll be hands-on with complex, high-impact systems that keep critical operations running smoothly. The environment is secure, the expectations are high, and the work is meaningful., Design and implement secure, scalable network architectures. Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Monitor performance, resolve latency and connectivity issues, and optimize uptime. Collaborate with software, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams to ensure end-to-end stability. Maintain compliance with security protocols and government standards. Document network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.

Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) - non-negotiable. Candidates without this clearance will not be considered. Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering. Strong understanding of routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls. Experience with Cisco hardware and network tools preferred. Ability to work independently in secure, high-stakes environments. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). What We Offer
