Job description
As a Data Analyst for Insight Global, you will support an enterprise data platform migration that has been underway for approximately 18 months, transitioning an on-prem IBM DB2 data warehouse and IBM DataStage ETL jobs to SQL Server and Databricks hosted in Azure, with a targeted go-live date of May 23. The analyst will play a critical role in go-live readiness and stabilization by focusing on known defects and identifying what is most likely to fail, the downstream business and technical impacts, and the expected remediation timelines. This individual will review technical details across ETL pipelines, Databricks clusters, and Azure services while actively monitoring progress against delivery schedules. A core responsibility will be partnering with engineering, platform, and business stakeholders to understand interdependencies across ETL jobs and upstream and downstream processes. The analyst will develop and maintain a Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to proactively

assess risk areas related to data latency, memory overruns, cluster behavior, and orchestration failures. Following go-live, the FMEA will be used to guide faster issue identification, prioritization, and remediation efforts. The role requires hands-on experience working with ticketing systems, orchestration logs, cloud monitoring tools, dashboards, and Azure services such as Azure DevOps, Azure Portal, Azure Data Factory, and diagnostic logs. This position is heavily focused on operational risk reduction during transition and post-go-live stabilization rather than net-new development. Success in the role will be measured by improved visibility into failure scenarios and the organization's ability to respond to production issues with a clear, actionable game plan.
