Job description

  • Design, build, and support Azure Data Services including Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, ADLS, Event Hub, Service Bus, Redis Cache, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Synapse.
  • Develop and enhance Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or Ansible for consistent and repeatable provisioning.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment, schema operations, patching automation, and environment updates using Azure DevOps.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to networking, identity, performance, connectivity, and data platform integration.
  • Implement automation for backups, patching, disaster recovery workflows, configuration drift detection, and platform monitoring.
  • Support AKS clusters for data microservices, including scaling, storage, networking, and observability.
  • Ensure security and compliance through Azure Policy, RBAC, Managed Identities, private endpoints, and governance best practices.
  • Optimize cloud resource utilization through performance tuning, capacity planning, and cost analysis.
  • Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and security teams to deliver data platform solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, DevOps, or data platform engineering.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and data platforms.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong expertise in Azure Data Services including Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, ADLS, Event Hub, Service Bus, Synapse, Redis Cache, and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or Ansible.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud networking including VNETs, NSGs, firewalls, private endpoints, DNS, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes/AKS, Helm, and containerized workloads.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001) and implementation.
  • Expertise in identity and access management using Azure AD, RBAC, and Managed Identities.
